Payment for academic dress rental and caution deposit

Payment by GIRO

For your convenience, the payment of rental fee and caution deposit for the academic dress will be deducted through interbank GIRO.  This will be done on 24 July 2001 (to confirm). Please ensure that your GIRO account has sufficient funds for us to make the deduction successfully, and update your relevant bank book after the deduction date to verify your payment. No receipt will be issued for payment made through interbank GIRO. Bursar’s Office will only inform graduates whose GIRO deductions are unsuccessful.

GIRO Facility

If you do not have a GIRO account with the University, please apply for one by submitting the requisite application form to the Bursar’s Office, Level 2, Administration Building, 50 Nanyang Avenue, Singapore 639798 by 13 March 2001. GIRO application forms are available at the Bursar’s Office. If you have any queries, please call the Students Section, Bursar’s Office at telephone no.        790 5060.

Unsuccessful GIRO Deduction

If the GIRO deduction is unsuccessful or you are not on the GIRO scheme, you will be required to pay the rental fee and caution deposit at the Bursar’s Office, Level 2, Administration Building on the day you collect the academic dress. You will be issued a receipt. Please present your receipt when collecting the academic dress.

Academic Dress Rental Fee and Caution Deposit

Graduants must be properly attired as befits the occasion.  Academic dress is mandatory for all graduates attending the ceremony. This can be hired from the University for the occasion at a fee of $170.60. The details of the charges are as follows:

 Rental                       $  20.60          (inclusive of 3% GST)

Caution Deposit            $150.00          (refundable)

Total                                $170.60
